hd_writers's 48 hour word sprint. The 48 hour sprint starts at 12:00 P.M. EST Sunday 5 August 2012 and ends 12:00 P.M. EST Tuesday 7 August 2012. If you need a reminder, EST is East Coast/New York, US time. Come and join in our sprint -- your goal is 10K words* in 48 hours. However, as always, every word written is a step closer to the gold and every effort is a success!Leave a comment with your starting word count. You are not limited to writing H/D -- any and all pairings, gen, het, or anything else on your plate is welcome. We'll have a check-in at 24 hours and then finish at 48 hours with our final word counts. LET'S GO FOR THE GOLD!

Word War not your thing today?
Welcome to our first grammar game, which is all about quotations and dialogue! Under the cut are 35 quotations from the 7 Harry Potter books. Some quotations been altered to include one or more of the most common dialogue and quotation errors. However, take care: Some of the quotations are completely correct; some have one or multiple punctuation errors. Note: No spelling has been changed as part of this challenge, but keep your eye out for incorrect capitalizations and punctuation as your navigate your way through this grammar game. As a competitor, you must figure out all the quotations that need to be fixed, correct them, and then send your completed grammar game to slytherincess[at]gmail[dot]com. You have until 12:00 A.M. GMT Wednesday 8 August 2012 to complete and submit your corrections. You may be interested in reading this guide to basic dialogue as you complete the grammar game.

That's right, the 24 hours of prompt posting is done for another drabble day. But that doesn't mean the fun ends! As always, the final tally will not go up until I get home from work tomorrow. That means there's probably another thirty hours of writing time to fill some of these prompts!
