Title: Perception Rating: PG-13 Word Count: 237 Pairing: Harry/Draco Warnings: none Disclaimer: I own nothing. Harry Potter characters are the property of J.K. Rowling and Bloomsbury/Scholastic. No profit is being made, and no copyright infringement is intended. Summary: Harry and Draco find something in each other that they were lost to them forever. Notes So I had another Potter drabble in me after all. ^^ Enjoy!
Harry didn’t want to be a hero. There were too many responsibilities and expectations. People wanted him to make their life better by donating money or marrying their children. Others wanted him to donate to whatever business or charity they were hosting. He received so many letters that he stopped opening them after a while.
Harry wished he wasn’t seen as a hero. He got his wish with Draco. Draco didn’t treat him differently after the war or asked for anything when his family’s assets were seized by the Ministry. He talked to him and didn’t hesitate to argue when he was on his way to make a bad decision.
Draco started to open up the letters Harry ignored. Harry happily let him take over and it slowly became Draco’s job. Something that he found Draco didn’t have a problem with as Draco mentioned, “Someone has to organize your life since you’re so bad at doing it yourself.”
Their relationship turned from enemies to friends to lovers before his eyes. Their friends mentioned their concern, but Harry and Draco didn’t see a problem. Draco wanted someone who didn’t see him as a Death Eater and Harry wanted someone who didn’t see him as a hero. Something they thought would be lost they found in each other.
As Harry and Draco curled together on the couch in their flat they knew, their friends would come around in time.
