[identity profile] lyonessheart.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] hd_writers
A while ago [livejournal.com profile] darkravenwrote posted the question if you would be interested in a community that archived old prompts from fests and will give folks the opportunity to drop prompts for claiming. The tenor was that this was a good idea - so here is the next step, and since she is already busy coming up with lists and spreadsheets, I am trying to do a tiny part as well and find a name for this baby :)

Since HP_adoptaprompt already exists, we decided to start fresh and have the following question for you:

I have a question. ^^

Are you planning to archive all the prompts of an X fest or the original prompter would have to re-prompt them?

Because maybe a prompter wants to "save" a prompt for another fest that might also fit, you know?

I guess I'm wondering if your idea is something like, "Here are the prompts from X, Y, Z fests, help yourself," or rather, "Prompters, please re prompt your prompts from X, Y, Z fests."

Sorry. I don't even know if I'm being clear. I hope so! :D And sorry if this was answered already. I don't always hang out here, and clearly, I should. Lol

*nods* I get it. :)

It sounds like a cool idea to help writers who are having a block.

Maybe it would be a good idea to leave original prompts, too though. I mean, sometimes when a writer is having a writers block, they aren't always looking for to start a whole new fic, but maybe a prompt that suggests a scene or a moment would be helpful too. :D

It's a great idea though. Thank you for explaining to me. <3
