James was the problem child. Dad and Mum had grounded James so often after he started school that he was restricted to his room and the sitting room during the summers. Except the summer when he turned seventeen, and that summer was when all of Al’s problems began.
James welcomed another bloke at the door and grinned as he brought in more cans of cheap lager, and over Al’s shouts of protest James said, “S’alright mate, put it in the tub of ice out back.” Al shoved his brother against the wall in the narrow corridor, and the moving characters in the pictures ran hastily from their frames.
“James,” he shouted, “What the hell is this?”
With a laughing tone James said, “A party, of course. Mum and Dad already approved it, remember?”
Al’s eyes narrowed at him, “No, James, Mum and Dad approved of you having one or two or quite possibly three mates over. They did not approve a party of this size!”
A large hand patted him on the head, “Relax, what’s the-,”
“Don’t,” Al interrupted him, “Don’t even say it! The last time you wore that cocky grin and said those words Ian Callaghan nearly got beat to death by Dad for trying to get a hand up Lil’s skirt.”
James shrugged, “He didn’t die, did he?”
“James,” Al warned and his brother rolled his hazel eyes.
“Alright, alright, but Lil isn’t here now and Ian Callaghan ain’t a mate of mine no more, satisfied,” James huffed, as if Al had taken all the fun from his night.
“Hardly,” Al bit out at James, “Something’s going to go wrong, I just know it.”
As he pushed Al off of him James said, “Would you get the tampon out your arse
and just relax? Fuck you’ve always got to make something fun dull and awful.”

Another chapter on BBM and maybe attacking Bullies if I can.

BBM, need to pick up a prompt for harlequin, and I made it through in LDWS so there's that soon!
5. Have you made any progress or had any pitfalls?
Made it through the round of LDWS. Submitted nextgenfest. I've written 8161 words since Monday morning, so it's been a good week since I passed 40k for the year. Oh and I got hooked on the band Wolf Gang last night thanks to um... I think it was Rike? WW, lots of words, and new music made for a good evening.
6. Do you have any snippets to share?
Okay, since half this chapter is Neville discussing the weirdness of his marriage bed, it was hard to find a SFW snippet... but here goes with one tiny one that made me happy because it just shows how different the boys all are.
Neville shook his head. "Nothing like that, and when I asked what was wrong after, she just cried harder. I didn't know whether I ought to get up and leave or hold her."
"Leave," Ron suggested.
"Hold her," Harry said firmly.

Uhh...let me check. This is from the new piece I am working on. It is a histotical piece, so the language is...different. Haha. And the story has yet to have been even glanced at by my beta, let alone edited by her. Nevertheless, there you go.
My beloved, you were truly a child of much discord. Without your spirits to lift me, however, I do not think I would have ever survived to be the man I am today. Withered and consumed by illness I would surely have died without your continuous antics to cheer my dismal nature.

I was going to finish "that" scene I started, but I never got around to it, because of the anticipated 5 hour work day turning into a 10+(!) hour workday/night thing and I only got home past 3am. FML! So only just above 1K extra :( Failboat! This means I won't be meeting my own "deadline" which sucks!
6. Do you have any snippets to share? I can haz a snippet:
Instead of distressing the other patrons in the lobby further, Albus steps out into the cold early evening air of spring. He walks through the magically created park, looking at the dead leaves and wrapping his thin suit jacket closer around himself to keep out the chill. The ground is hard and the rubble crunches beneath his feet as he tries to calm himself. When walking doesn’t help, Albus stops by a bench and gets out a packet of cigarettes and shakes a single fag out of it. He puts it between his lips with shaking hands and lights it negligently with his wand before taking several greedy drags. Scorpius doesn’t like it when he smokes so Albus usually doesn’t do it, but right now, he is smoking for Scorpius’ sake as much as his own peace of mind.
The cigarette works its magic on his nerves and Albus finally casts a heating charm on his clothes before getting the PFC out again and reconnecting to St Mungo’s Floo network connection.
