Intro Post & Beta Request

1. Are you a writer, beta or cheerleader? I have done all three at various points.
2. Will you be working on a single project or multiple projects? I usually have more than one thing going at once, but rarely do they see the light of day.
3. Are you participating in any fests, exchanges or challenges? I have before, but not at the moment.
4. What is your goal (wordcount) per month? I could write 5,000 words in a few days, or it could take me a month to write a few hundred. It's so variable and easy to get discouraged that I try to not focus on word counts.
5. What are your project(s) about? (If it's a secret, we understand) Currently, an H/D fic that goes A/U after the Sectumsempra scene. I just started it yesterday so I'm not exactly sure where it's going.
6. Is there anything else you want us to know about you? I love having friends, and anybody is welcome to friend me if they like. I'm looking for a beta reader, britpicker, or anything else for this story that I'm writing now so if anyone's interested I'd be glad to have your help.

Hi there! Happy holidays and welcome to hd_writers. Most of us have done all three at some point or another, so if you want cheerleading or motivation (or a way to up the odds on any given beta hunt), you might want to try the chatzy room for the comm. We're srsly good with motivation if you're into timed writing competitions. I hear you on the variable word counts, too. Depends on how inspired I am, I guess, and it so rarely seems like something I can schedule.

Hi Tari, welcome to hd_writers! We're glad to have you. Yes, I think the majority of us have done all three at one point or another -- beta, writer, cheerleader. Your writing is like mine -- I can bang out 5000 words in a day and then it takes me three months to do 1000. Unlike you, though, I get obsessed with word counts! It's a bad habit, like weighing yourself twice a day, LOL! Your fic sounds interesting.
