Date: 2011-10-01 03:10 am (UTC)Favorite fic.
Under the Cold, Wan Moon (http://archiveofourown.org/works/179688)
He does not seek war, but when attacked he knows better how to die than surrender. [POST-HBP] [HP/DM] Following his failed mission to kill Dumbledore, Draco Malfoy finds himself under the protection of the Order of the Phoenix and the Fidelius charm, hidden away at a hexed-up and dangerous No. 12 Grimmauld Place. Except for Remus Lupin, who visits an unrepentant Draco three times weekly, Draco is lonely, forgotten, and bored . . . until Harry Potter begins using Grimmauld Place as a base for his Horcrux hunting. Also, Lupin's bagpipe, Kreacher, and an enchanted tin of fortune cookies!
I don't know if I can truly pick a favorite fic, for they all have some special meaning to me and I enjoyed writing all of them. Under the Cold, Wan Moon means a lot to me because at the time I wrote it I was so unsure of myself as to whether or not I could write a slash fic, and it was so graciously received (http://merry-smutmas.livejournal.com/129200.html) at

Date: 2011-10-02 09:12 pm (UTC)Yes, I'm writing a sequel called Epitaphs, which is a chaptered fic. I have about 26 chapters so far, but won't post it until it's complete.

Date: 2011-10-01 01:14 pm (UTC)So right now it'd be a tie between Just One Night - F-Locked (http://meglw0228.livejournal.com/17549.html) / Just One Night - Unlocked (http://meglw0228.dreamwidth.org/15518.html) and Life's Treasures - Unlocked (http://mastermeg-0228.livejournal.com/3431.html).
Just One Night - Harry Potter, HP/DM, NC-17, ~7k, mpreg
As of now, it's definitely the work I'm most proud of. It was one of the longest pieces of fic I've written in awhile and I loved how it turned out. It was a lot of fun to write and a big challenge so it made it more worthwhile in the end.
Life's Treasures - Star Wars, Zekk and Peckhum, Gen, G, ~500
This is a story that will always be a fave of mine. Without even really considering it, I inadvertently wrote of a relationship between a father figure and a child. I wrote it a little over a year after my father died, and it was more relaxing than anything. It's so short but I still love how I conveyed so much emotion in so few words.

Date: 2011-10-01 08:53 pm (UTC)Slavebound By An Incubus (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7360554/1/)
Harry Potter is an incubus. Evil and unmerciful, he tries to take Draco for his own. After the first time, Draco is disgusted with himself, for not only does he wants it, he needs it. Video!Fic.
I think I loved writing this because it doesn't have a happy/fluffy ending, and those take forever for me to write/edit. Secondly, I loved writing this because the research portion was interesting, rather than boring. Plus, this fic gave me an excuse to watch an awesome video about 60 times without seeming like a freak ^_^

Date: 2011-10-02 02:34 pm (UTC)WWW because I adapted the plot of my favorite book, Wuthering Heights, with my OTP, Fred/George. It's dark and angsty and kind of served as an outlet for post-DH depression. I also think it's some of my best writing.
Present because I enjoyed writing Sims 2 characters a whole bunch, and because I like the way it deals with important issues (homosexuality, family).

Date: 2011-10-04 11:37 pm (UTC)It was an exercise in meta for me, a huge hotpot of a fic where I threw in all the tropes and themes and tidbits that I loved and stirred it up...and then deconstructed it, in chunks. It was inspired by a song, 'Tanglewood Tree', and I carried it about in my head for months and months on end, wishing to write it. I was terribly active last year at this time in the fandom and the opportunity didn't arise until the Beltane Fest...which was, in a most serependitious manner, precisely the perfect venue. I went to town on this fic; threw every last bit I had in me into it, and it's one I will read, still. Most of my other fics I only read with an eye toward improvement; this one I managed to nail down. My betas for it were beyond wonderful and it all came together so well, there's very little fiddling left to do.
It also happens to be my least-read fic evah (well...my Emofest 2010 fic is my least-read evah), but the responses were positive and that pleased me so very much.
All in all, the best I've done yet, on many levels. Makes me happy! Warm fuzzies!
