To get prompt 7 I went for an old meme...* Grab the nearest book.
* Open the book to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
He wondered how long they had been flying, it felt like an hour at least.
Use my sentence, or grab your own nearest book! If you use your own, just write the sentence at the start so we know what you're basing the drabble on!
Rules are here, though an additional one - you don't need to stick to the drabble of the hour. Remember, there are no rules! If you want to fill prompt one minutes after I post prompt 24, then that's great!
And Chatzy is here and here for srs!chatzy.

Date: 2011-09-17 06:31 am (UTC)Harry raised a hand to feel his ear and grimaced. Sometimes he wondered why he even did this job. There were times like this, times when witches and wizards went crazy, that Harry just wanted to up and leave it all behind him. Hermione had said more than once before that the division he was in was far too dangerous.
There had been a job vacant within the International Auror League and Finch-Fletchley had been desperate for someone to fill the job. Of course, no one had put their hands up and as it had been his first week as Head Auror, it wouldn't have looked very good if he went back to the bosses with no one. So Harry had felt bad and raised a hand for the job, or more specifically, for his friend.
"Harry! What the bloody hell happened this time?"
Harry sighed, stopping short when he heard the familiar voice. He had wondered if he would get to see a Healer at St Mungos before he saw his boyfriend. Being that Draco was a healer there though, he had a feeling that even if someone else did treat him, they would still run back to tell the other man what happened.
Draco stormed towards him, his pale face etched with concern. He raised a hand, but Harry grabbed it before it could touch his ear.
"It's not so bad," he chuckled a little, "it could be worse."
"When did this happen?" Draco growled.
"Three weeks ago," Harry answered, knowing he had no choice. Draco would not stop until he told him the truth, "a German witch shot it off. It's healing better than the time that damn demon chewed off my other one." It was an attempt to make Draco feel better, but it didn't work. The blond only looked angrier.
"You are quitting that job tomorrow."
"But–"
"No arguments. Now, get in that bloody bed over there. To the right. I'll heal you, but I'm telling you now, Harry, it won't happen anymore, are we clear? That was your last assignment."
"Yes, Draco."
