Harry/Scorpius was one of those pairings that made me go "O.o what?" until I wrote it as a gift fic for the winner of one of the word wars. And then I fell in love with it. *is totally a sheep sometimes*

Yeah, I love Harry/Severus and tried writing it once...I can never get Severus to sound even remotely in character.

There's quite a few pairings that I've tried that I didn't like at first and found I enjoy writing, almost everything I've tried!

I've never wrote anything I don't like. Basically, I'm a very picky person and if I don't like it, I won't want to get started. Similarly, I can't always write for what I like. I ship Alicia/Olivia, but I just can't write femslash, I guess. I used to like H/Hr, but I couldn't get the ball rolling for it.

I guess I'll write anything as long as I can get it moving forward.

Draco/Asteria, I thought "Eh not my thing," then wrote it as a pinch-hit for emo-fest and fell in love with the canon pairing. I don't write it often, but I do enjoy exploring their relationship in AS/S fics. :D

Sometimes I have insane difficulty writing het. IDEK. I also have a lot of trouble writing Voldemort wins! scenarios and pairings.

I didn't think I could write Snarry - I have an issue with the level of resentment and bitterness inherent in their canon!relationship - but after having written a few fics, I can see the way the dynamic could have evolved.

Seconded on both points. I've read so much het (good, awesome and awful), it bores me silly at this point. So, slash is more fun for me. Plus I can get behind supporting the need for more positive fiction for LGBT youth and I think slash fanfiction is a huge resource for that. It inspires me as het does not.
Cross-gen is not so much an issue in HP because canon allows for extra-long lived characters. What's a squick when the younger set are teens (for me, personally) is no longer when everyone's over 40. But still...there has to be a real spark to lure me in.

I wrote Luna/Xenophilius chan for the [livejournal.com profile] hp_kinkfest. I still don't understand why. *headdesk*

When I first read H/D I was truly intrigued but never imagined myself as a slash writer since I knew nothing about gay sex but now that has all changed and I write mostly slash and a fair amount of it is my OTP Harry/Draco. I also thought I would never write a threesome and got converted away from that idea through the Drapery threesome. Also I wrote Ron/Charlie for a Weasley Slash Fest and realized I loved that pairing!!
