There's a Word War Coming...

Hey guys!

So this is my first WORD WAR for hd_writers and I figured that we should definitely have one because there are lots of fests coming up and we need all the encouragement.

A sign up post will go up on Sunday – but here’s an announcement so you can relax this weekend and then get ready for WAR.

The war will run from MONDAY SEPTEMBER 12 through THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 15, based on your own time zone.

Basically, I'll post the check-in before it's MONDAY in the Australian bits of the world, and you check in and start writing when your Monday begins. When your Thursday is over, put your pencil down and you will be done!

That's FOUR FULL DAYS of fantastic words! The word fairies will be popping around to sprinkle you with dust and give your muses plenty of rest, food and drink so that they'll be inspiring you. Come join us all and write!

Spread the news; all fandoms and pairings are welcome. Whatever you need to write, we celebrate your words!

May I ask why you changed the time? A wordwar during the week does in my opinion little to no good since many of us have no time to write, what was wrong with going from Thursday till Sunday?

Hey there!

No reason. I just thought that I've been seeing on my f-list that people have been lacking on motivation lately so I figured a war was in order, and when it comes to WW you also want to give people enough time to prepare for it... and with my schedule.. it just seemed Mon-Thu seemed like the best time for this round...

Didn't realize there was a set schedule in order, esp. b/c a war hasn't gone on for a while now.. Personally, a war during the week gives people motivation to write a few words here and there -- it's one of those things...do or do not, there's not try.. so those that want to get things accomplished will sign up and will write the words b/c that's what they want to do...

Hopefully you'll be able to join and next time there's a war we can go back to the regular order. Whatever that is...

I think it's a good idea to mix up the times sometimes. Some people have more time on weekends and others have more time on weekdays. So changing it up hopefully gives everyone a chance to play imho :)
