Mod Applications are now OPEN!

Hello!

It's that time again when we are looking to add a couple of extra mods to help out at hd_writers. We're looking to find some lovely people who are excited about writing and encouraging others to write! We need people who have both the time and excitement to dedicate to hd_writers for at least the next 6 months.

We are now accepting mod applications :)

How it all works:

+ Mods will be considered active for a time commitment of at least 6 months. Sessions will run approx January-June and July-December. (Hopefully timed sessions will help mods not to feel overcommited and allow them to bow out gracefully as needed)
+ Mods who are serving during a session will be invited to be a member of the mod comm and they should be at least moderately active in the main comm - hosting discussions/essays/events etc throughout the six months as well as tracking the mod comm and weighing in on topics as needed there. There is flexibility of course. We won't expect everyone to be involved in everything we do during the 6 months but they should make an effort to plan or participate in a few small events or one or two large events in the time period that they are considered active.
+ At the end of a session, As long as they were involved during the term they may choose to stay on as an active mod for the next session, take a hiatus, or become inactive. Mods who do not participate in the community events will automatically rotate out for the next session.
+ Mods who rotate out are are always welcome to come back later! Previous mods are always welcome to come back if they would like to return to active status.
