Anything To Share (flailing, requests for butt-kicking, pep-talks, snippets, etc.)? It took some time to get into the mood for the boys having fun. And I was just there and the little one woke up terribly sick. No fun and much laundry to do the next day. After an hour of holding hands and hair out of her face (my poor baby) I'm not in the mood for more. I think she can't go to the kindergarden tomorrow which spoils my writing plans. Whatever. As long as she's not feeling sick anymore everything is fine. We'll see.

Anything To Share (flailing, requests for butt-kicking, pep-talks, snippets, etc.)? Why is it so hard to write smut? It used to be EASY to write PWP and now I struggle.

I am a weird person in that once upon a time, smut was really easy to write. Like... I started writing smut when I was 18 and when I was around 45 or so... like a year ago... smut suddenly became hard to write. I think I've just written too much of it.

On the other hand, I spent those 27 years struggling to learn to write descriptions, plots, and fights... I still can't write a physical fight at all well.

Advice from a professional author friend: write sex scenes like they are battles. Me, I try to write battles as if they are sex scenes.

And having the paintbrushes was a very good thing this (Saturday) morning.
