I let mine sit for 8 weeks, too! And yeah, I'm back to being excited about it. Sometimes you've just got to go surfing or do some knitting instead. :-)

You did awesome work! And yes, 50k can be daunting... but break it down to how many words a day that is, and just start writing. There's a comm on LJ call Novel in 90, because they encourage writers to just write 750 words a day for 90 days, which gets them to about 67k in that time. Take your large goal, make it into smaller goals, and start working on those. It gives you more to cross off when done, and helps you feel like you're making progress!

Anything To Share (flailing, requests for butt-kicking, pep-talks, snippets, etc.)? Time to move onto Journey Story and get a start on that. Hopefully it'll be easier... Also, after tonight, my beta may never speak to me again.
