Next war is in about a week (yes, over Halloween, I suck, I know).

And thanks. It's officially novel length... in fact, about the length of the average paperback sf/fantasy novel you might pick up. Longer than most original novels I've written, which is very cool.

I did go to a pumpkin patch, bleach my bathroom, and have a game night, though. I got a little bit of reading done. The kids were supposed to be gone this weekend, so I anticipated hours and hours of free time to write, clean, etc. I ending up only having enough kid free hours to go to the grocery store and eat lunch. (Hence the insane goal I set for myself. I'm seriously that not crazy nor that self-defeating).
