I'm currently writing a HxD Pre-slash 8th-year fic and I'm kinda stuck. Can someone help me?

Here's the background:

Harry finds himself watching Malfoy, and he decides that all the "Enemies" stuff of the past was all his fault (because he wouldn't be Draco's friend) and a denial of attraction. In the process of watching Draco, he falls in love with him. He talks to Draco about a truce, and Draco doesn't accept Harry's friendship. He *could* like Harry, but he can't get over the original rejection and the animosity that built up.

Now the situation:

At this point in the story Draco guesses that Harry has a crush on him (not just wanting friendship) and, being a prat, basically flirts with Harry for a week to build up Harry's hope before sending Harry a note that basically says "Just for the record, I was just playing with your heart and still hate you".

Now how would I phrase that note in Draco-Prat-Sarcastic-Speak?

This is a difficult one!

I don't know about the phrasing. Maybe he would say something like as if a Malfoy would ever fall in love with a Potter. Or something derogatory about Harry's appearance, as Draco's well turned out and Harry's still in Dudley's cast offs?

If he's really being evil he would probably say something like, "It has been amusing to encourage your pathetic little crush on me, but in case you didn't realize I've only been toying with you, allow me to clarify." And then he can go into insult mode, etc.

Something like 'Potter you are so pathetic, I can't believe you thought I'd be interested in someone like you.'

... Er, yeah.

"Surely you didn't think I was serious?" Draco's voice was like an icicle dripping, the coldness of each word as it fell on Harry caused him to flinch. "I thought you could tell," Draco continued. "You see, you're really not the right sort."

Or something like that. *grins*

Not sure about sarcastic, but as an insult you could use something like "as you are clearly too thick to figure it out for yourself, I'll do it for you: I could never be interested in you."
