I am crossing fingers hoping she can get it done, it's the largest thing I have sent to her or I have ever written! Over 110,000 words which then answers my question, can I write a story long enough for a big bang?

Holy crap! That's long. Longest fic I have written is um... well, it's the WiP, which is at almost 47k and nowhere near done. Longest novel I've written for original is about 85k (that I know of... there's one I wrote 20+ years ago in high school that was long). I'm pretty sure you have NAILED writing long! Congrats!

knowing me I will toss out chucks before it's done, I go off on tangents. I once deleted half of my work just because I went off on paths that had nothing to do with the story. I also have a horrible habit of retelling canon back story, repeatedly. There is only so many times I need to tell the reader the Derek's family died in a fire.

So are we going to get any more Stiles/Jackson baby fic??

I am the exact opposite... I keep forgetting to bring in things that might be useful, and am horrible about under writing my stories, which is kind of okay in fic, but very not useful in original. I always have to add things in after the fact.

With a prompt like "broken" I am ridiculously tempted to write the "Stiles's water breaks" entry into the series, but at the same time, I'm not sure I want to jump so far ahead. There will definitely be an addition to the Derek/Jackson series, and I'm trying to decide on the Stiles/Jackson one. I'm also toying with ideas for an entry into the Weavers backstory.

Yea that might be to far as a reader I feel there is tons they have to go through before they get there. Tossing a bunny at you, they way you left the last story you could go with broken trust between Stiles and Lydia.

I need to catch up on the Weavers. I had been holding it off because reading something that AU while writing tends to mess with my head. I cut back on a lot of reading because I didn't wnat to use a line that might have been stuck in my head from another story.

I'm skipping around a lot in all my series, but I'm trying not to skip too far. Although the Derek/Jackson one will be a future sort of entry, and I know there are still pieces to fill into the backstory there, too. I like that bunny. I might use it.

I totally understand that reason for not reading! Those backstory ficlets are also being done in random order, but I did just actually reference one within the main story, so I'm strangely excited about that. I knew how it all fit together when I wrote the ficlet and couldn't wait to get the rest of it on screen.

A snippet from the chapter of my WiP that I was working on last night... (which is about a month out from where I'm currently posting right now)

“I’m taking Molly out to run,” Derek says quietly. “Boyd, Isaac, Scott, me… we’ll all be with her. And we’re not going to let anything happen to our cub. But I can not keep her safe in here. At some point, it will come down to a contest between her instincts and your wards, and we can’t be sure we’ll be able to keep her from running. It needs to be under our control.”

Derek still leans into him, his full weight against Stiles, one hand curled at the nape of his neck to anchor them together. Stiles couldn’t move if he wanted to, and the way it is making him feel is complicated. He closes his eyes, drifting for a moment in the weave, the way it tangles around them both.

A throat clears somewhere above them.

“Tick tock,” Lydia offers.

22 just posted Sunday (and the story finally earned its rating). *grins* I'm not as far ahead as I'd like to be! Mating Games killed my buffer (I had an EIGHT CHAPTER buffer and now it's only three, soon to be four). I'm trying to rebuild it again so when the big bangs kill my time, I have something to post while panicking! However, the chapters started out averaging about 1200 words in length, and now seem to be always at least 2k and chapter 25 is my longest thus far having made it all the way to 3k (I could not shut them up). As things get more complicated, it gets harder to write!
