That's great progress! Hopefully you can slide through the transition (maybe put [INSERT TRANSITION HERE] and go on past it, then fix it in the editing, or transition with a scene break?) and keep on cranking those words out!

I had to finish my Beat the Heat first. Next is a chapter of my WiP, then it's all about Heat Wave. 10k in two weeks? Should be pretty doable... if I can keep it to 10k!!

Heat wave is the first fest I have done ever, so really nervous about it.

You will be awesome! I've done a lot of HP fests, but Heat Wave is my second TW fest (not counting fullmoon or matinggames as they are different). I wrote a pinch hit for tw_holidays last december, when I had barely started writing for TW at all.
