Let's do this again for March, yes?

We all say we want to write, but sometimes we just... never get around to it. It's not an uncommon problem, but maybe this can help. Sometimes the declaration of intent, of publicly saying "This month, I will write this number of words" is enough to kick our arses in gear, so why don't we hold ourselves accountable to each other?

Let's:
a) declare the number of words we want to write for the month (check in with a current total word count of all your projects if you have a few ongoing ones)
b) write, write, write!
c) check back in at the end -- there are banners in store for those who reach their goal!

No word count is too big or too small. Start with something you think you can manage. And don't worry if you don't reach it, either! All words are great words--the important thing is getting in the habit of setting a goal.

I'll be working on hp_getlucky, harrydracompreg, and a few other things tbd!

I plan to write 35k this month.

That will include (at minimum) finishing & submitting my dracotops_harry piece, a first draft of my hp_darkarts piece, several ficlets for fullmoon_ficlet and at least 8 chapters on my TW WiP. It should also include editing the first four chapters of an original YA novel for a special project.

I er... wrote 47,906 words in March. I finished and submitted dtopsh, submitted two darkarts pieces, and wrote several ficlets for fullmoon. I have no idea how many chapters I wrote of the TW WiP though, and I bailed completely on the YA novel. Whoops.

Er...so I'm going to do this. But the thing is, I don't write with a word count in mind, I just sort of start writing at the beginning and keep going until the end (if I get to the end, that is *looks shiftily at Unfinished Things doc folder*).

So yeah. I don't know how many words I should pledge myself to write. I just need to finish at least one fic. I AM USELESS, I KNOW. But okay. I WILL FUCKING WELL FINISH A FIC THIS MONTH. There.
