β€œIn many cases when a reader puts a story aside because it 'got boring,' the boredom arose because the writer grew enchanted with his powers of description and lost sight of his priority, which is to keep the ball rolling.”
― Stephen King, On Writing

Remember, a large part of what makes a story is conflict, which can be internal or external. Story's bogged down? Blow something up! This doesn't have to mean a physical explosion. Just change things. Switch directions. Pull the rug out from under your characters and see how they resolve it on the way to the climax of your novel.

While you're here, check in below and let us know how you did yesterday with your writing, and how you're doing overall! Whether you're ahead or behind, remember, ALL WORDS ARE AWESOME WORDS and just by writing you are making progress. Need some encouragement or cheerleading or just a place to vent your frustrations? Let us know!

I am the worst at introducing conflict. I hate when things don't go smoothly, hate when things happen that throw wrenches in my characters' lives, haha. This is honestly the biggest thing I know I have to work on. :P
