“Do you know what’s the worst thing about living with Ron?” Hermione said to Harry one day over coffee.

“I can’t pick one. There are so many,” Harry said, half joking and half serious.

“The guy fucking threatens to move out if he see a spider web. It’s like, all the time, I have to watch out to clean every trace of spider webs, so my bloody husband doesn’t divorce me,” Hermione said, fuming.

Harry only laughed, thinking of pointing out to Hermione that Ron’s fear of spiders was never going away after his visit to Aragog. That wasn’t something Harry thought Ron would forget. Ever.

Percy Weasley contemplated the spider in silence. The creature was no bigger than his thumb, yet its long legs made it seem bigger than what it was as it made its way across the spider web in the attic.

All week long, he had heard nothing but teasing insults from his family members because he had gotten caught with his pants down. Literally. Percy had stuttered, Audrey had blushed, and to this day they hadn’t heard the end of it.

The worst, of course, was Ron.

Looking over his shoulder, Percy observed his younger brother’s sleeping form before plucking the spider carefully from its silky web.

Fred and George weren’t the only Weasleys who knew how to get even.
