There were nights when Remus wouldn’t be able to sleep. Even though the cycle of the moon was such that he felt it most once a month, days before it starts he becomes restless. His skin scratches, as if the fur that he knew lay under it was becoming restless just like him.
He stays up at night and watches the stars, imagining a world where there isn’t a moon; a world where only stars shine bright in the night every day for the rest of his life.
But, that is not the case. He sits silently and waits every night waiting for the cycle to return so that he can fight it. And when the time comes and he has taken potion to tame his inner wild beast, Remus waits for it to end before he too continues the cycle just like the moon.
