Title: “That’d be great if I had one” Word Count: 125 Pairing(s)/Character(s): Original Characters: Kara/Brian. Author Notes: This is a drabble that can be fitted into a novel I’m fuzzing around with, so original characters. Also, I’ve written into this verse before on drabble day, so here are links to it if you want to read more about these characters. Here (http://vanessawolfie.livejournal.com/29188.html) and here (http://hd-writers.livejournal.com/88339.html).
“Do you ever read your horoscope?” Kara asked.
Brian seemed to think about it, but then shook his head.
“Well then, I guess there’s a first time for everything.” Kara said, before opening up the magazine she had, flipping the pages until she found the right one.
“Don’t get too egoistic now that everyone is praising you for your job. Invite people over.”
“See, that makes just no sense at all! What am I supposed to learn from that?” Brain said, still trying to figure out if that had any grounds in his life right now.
“I know it’s crap, but at least it thinks everyone is praising you about your job....” Kara said, closing the magazine.
Title: Horoscopes Words counted:360 Pairing: Ron/Hermione
”It says here an old friend will be returning with gifts,” Hermione read aloud.
“Who?” Ron asked. Hermione stared at him over the magazine.
“How should I know, it’s just a horoscope.”
“I thought you said horoscopes were bullshit.” Hermione chose to ignore his comment, but was not able to when she read his horoscope.
“And it says you’re going to meet someone you cared about dearly.” She knew horoscopes were far from realistic, but they were a lot of fun. “Is there something you want to tell me about?”
“Hold on, you’re allowed to ask me if I have cheated but I’m not allowed to ask which old friend that might be visiting? I don’t think this is fair.” Hermione knew he would react that way, he did not understand that she was joking.
“I know you aren’t cheating on me.” Hermione went back and read the description of a holiday trip to Italy.
“How do you know I’m not cheating? Is it because you don’t think I’m attractive enough?” Feeling slightly guilty for the way he reacted she rested the magazine on the coffee table and straddled him.
“I did not mean it that way honey. When I said I know you’re not cheating I meant that I know it because you love me too much. And you’re not that coldhearted. Only someone without a heart would hurt someone they truly love.” She leaned down and kissed him, glad that he wasn’t fighting against her.
Ron placed his hands on her hips, slowly caressing her. With an elegant movement he lifted her up in his arms and carried her away from the living room. “If that old friend of you comes you better tell him you are not interested in any gifts he might have.” Hermione giggled as he walked into the bedroom, not hiding what his intentions were. “And you better stop reading those horoscopes; they are causing problems for our relationship.”
With one eyebrow risen Hermione seductively said, “I wouldn’t call this a problem.” Ron stared at her and smiled.
After kissing her one last time he threw her on the bed before joining her side.
