First off, an announcement. The intrepid curiouslyfic, aka Captain Picard, is off on an away mission, so I shall be assuming command. I'd like to think that I'm the dashing and devilishly handsome Will Riker, but the fact is that I'm really Wesley before Wil Wheaton got cool. Which is my way of saying, "Be gentle with me."

In my first act as Ensign Crusher, I'm announcing something tremendously awesome that is happening tomorrow for most of you (and today for Aussies on the east coast - sorry!) Yes, that's right,

Saturday, April 21 is the Finishing Bonus!

Finishing? That's right! Need to get that last paragraph sorted out? Have an idea for a fic you could finish today if you got a move on? Anything you finish on Saturday will be worth 3 points per 1000 words.

I'm working on art and/or podfic! Any art or podfic finished on Saturday is worth 3 points per hour spent on the project.

But I'm on Team Spider and there's no way I'm getting through the last 15k of that Big Bang in one day! No fear, Saturday will also be

Double Bonus Day!!!

That's right! Everything else you do is worth double points.

That's a lot of points! WE KNOW!!! Isn't it AWESOME?!?!?!!!

Er.. have you been drinking something? Look, just because I'm Ensign Crusher in this scenario, doesn't mean I can't down a Sex on the Beach Slushie and still manage to make sense. Okay, maybe it does. And there was more than just the slushie... so if there are any questions, ping me, email me, or leave a comment!

Wasn't there something about a Drabble Day this weekend? Yes, there was!!! There will be some sort of special Drabble Day bonus point extravaganza as well - more to come about that in tomorrow's Drabble Day post!

Do I include my work from Bonus Days in my weekly check-in? Yes, please. It makes stats mod’s life easier to just plug in one set of weekly totals and let Spreadsheet O’Doom figure it out. Obviously, we still have a record of what you’ve done to earn your Bonus points, though, so if you’ve split them up and don’t want to do that math, please just tell us your reported totals don’t include Bonus points.

I did not include the bonus points, thought we were not supposed to. I calculated this with paper and pencil, and it's not the most reliable thing in the world, so it does not surprise me if I made any mistakes.
BOB, and combined with drabble day, is pretty much confusion for me. All the bonus things, it's making my head spin. I won't object to the score you got, surely we can count on the spreadsheet more than my own mind. :P
