Introduce Yourself Kzell
Sep. 9th, 2016 11:34 pmHi! I saw Kitty doing it, so i thought I would do it as well.
1. Are you a writer, beta or cheerleader?
I'm trying to be a writer, but since I'm sadly not a native English speaker, I tend to do some mistakes and I'm very self-conscious about my writing. But after lurking around the HD fandom for years, I finally go for it. And well, we'll see.
2. Will you be working on a single project or multiple projects?
Ah ah. I'm still trying to write in English without mistakes, so I think I'll stick with one fic at the time for now.
3. Are you participating in any fests, exchanges or challenges?
Cf answer 2. But I'd like to try a few fests in the future.
4. What is your goal (wordcount) per month?
I don't really have one, I try to write a few hours every Saturday.
6. Is there anything else you want us to know about you?
Hum, what else to say.. I'm in my twenties, born in France, but actually living and working in Germany. Still learning both languages. And yeah, I'm searching for some advice and betaing if anyone would be interested. I don't bite and accept very well any constructive criticism.

Date: 2016-09-09 10:37 pm (UTC)I hope you don't mind a friendly suggestion, but it can be a good idea to make a short introduction post on your own journal if you'd like to connect with others on LJ. People can be wary about friending an empty journal so a brief post on there would just reassure people that you're a genuine poster.
Good luck with your writing! Hope to see you around.
Eta: feel free to friend me if you would like to?

Date: 2016-09-09 11:30 pm (UTC)I'm so in awe of people who can write and speak second languages! And everyone's really nice here so try not to feel too self-conscious. Two of my best buddies on this fandom are German, and in another fandom I beta for this lovely Russian writer. You're not alone. We really want to hear your stories even if your English isn't perfect yet :D

Date: 2016-09-10 05:58 am (UTC)When you ask for beta help, you might want to let people know what general type of thing you're writing (romance? angst? porn? humor? adventure?), how long it is, etc. That might help them decide if they'd like to beta.
I'm impressed with all the different languages you're living in!
