If You Set Other Goals Are You Progressing? I have made great progress on the fic, and I'm at the point I hoped to be at, so that's good. But I still need to contact potential pre readers/betas. I always feel like I'm imposing when I ask, because my English isn't good enough for me to return the favour.

I recommend writing a short, but really silly scenario for what you're stuck on. Don't take it seriously, just go a little nuts. You won't use it, but you'll be surprised what other ideas you might get while letting your writing get a little less constricted :)

For speed-writing i recommend alcohol. Or just not thinking as much; just letting your fingers get on with it, regardless of what gets written (that's why editing exists!).
For plot trimming... take out everything but the elves.
