here, have a snippet: It was going to be one of those days. Jim felt it deep in his bones. To prove that to himself and everybody who cared to watch: Jim banged his head against turbolift door when it failed to open; slipped on something on the bridge and almost collided with the floor, if not for Spock's quick reflexes; tried to sign the same padd twice.
Jim suppressed a sigh. "Captain, we're approaching Osis II."
"Great. Sulu, enter standard orbit around the planet. Uhura, notify them that we've arrived, and then meet me and Spock in the transporter room."
"Yes, sir."
Jim strode to the turbolift, Spock right behind him. The door opened to Jim's relief because he didn't think his ego could afford to take any more bruising today. He had an important diplomatic mission to complete.
