Total Word War Goal: 6k New Words Written: 6,136 Total Words So Far: 6,136 Projects Worked On: WiP, A Bite Off Center, Kiss Meme If You Set Other Goals (get characters to hook up, find a way to work in some smut/angst/fluff, reach a certain plot point, whatever), Are You Progressing? I finished a chapter for my WiP, I finished a fill for the kiss meme, and the fic for bite is... progressing. Anything To Share (flailing, requests for butt-kicking, pep-talks, snippets, etc.)? Did I mention that I would be doing the entire war in one day? Because yep, there it is... although I am still hoping to find a FEW words tomorrow. In the meantime, have a snippet.
“I can see how important he is to you.” Del stalks along the sidewalk, body nearly pressed up against the side of the wards, fingers trailing lightly against the barrier she must be able to feel. “Try to imagine what it would be like if I killed him. If I ripped his throat out and let him bleed out while he tried to say what he felt, tried to gurgle it out as the blood dripped over his chin.”
Stiles remembers this, remembers the look on Cass’s face as she hung from Del’s claws. He remembers that swift look of betrayal, a look that Stiles took to heart because it was all his fault. He swallows hard against the freshness of the memory, the way it shines so brightly behind his eyes now that the cords are back, thick and strong. “He’s an alpha,” he manages to say, voice shaking. “You can’t kill him so easily.”
“I wasn’t talking to you, Weaver.” As quiet as her voice is, it is pointed, and Derek growls when she says it.
It's very frustrating when I find a snippet, then immediately note editing that needs to be done... excuse me while I go fix that string of three "out"s appearing in one sentence... (welcome to my brain and my editing process)
