NaNo Inspiration, Day 3

Let's think about that one for a moment: you have complete control over every word that you put down on paper, but you have absolutely no control over how the reader interprets it. Another way I've seen it said is that the writer is only 50% of the story; the reader brings his/her own 50% based on how they see things.
Is this something you can do anything about? Maybe! How does it change your story or structure to try to view it as an outsider? Can you imagine any experiences that would change how your characters are perceived? Can you add anything to your world to help nudge the reader in the direction you want them to go? Remember, description is everything! Let us become completely involved in your world and characters, and help guide what the reader's 50% will be.
