Anything To Share not right now. I'm hoping to score a nap soon so I'll be ready to write today, but considering I'm running on only 4 hours of sleep, that may not happen. :/

Anything To Share (flailing, requests for butt-kicking, pep-talks, snippets, etc.)? i worked on this through the google drive app in my ipad (with it hooked up to the internet connection in my phone) on the train today. the google drive app doesn't show you word counts, which... was part distressing, because i check my word counts ALL THE TIME when i write, but it was also strangely...nice. not having the option of checking the word count led to me thinking less about what i was writing in terms of word count and more in terms of 'what am i actually writing' such as the content of scenes, the flow, the dialogue, etc. i feel like i got down some really good stuff today. (although now it is late and i need to go pass out v.v)

Awesome! Sometimes it's nice to just disconnect from thinking "how much have I done" and just DO it until it's done, instead. It sounds like it worked for you today!

You have an end in sight, so that is definitely progressing. Sometimes that's half the battle, just knowing how to get to that end point.

4,827, actually. I finished the story (though it's rough still). Woot!

Thanks SO MUCH! This post (http://traintracks.livejournal.com/42295.html) is where I've been taking my prompts from (except for this one, which came privately and then those left on the IJ post), so feel free to add your voice! :-D But as soon as I get my fest assignments, I'll probably start trucking on those pretty heavily. (I'm hoping tomorrow for one of them.)

I don't know that I would have even started this fic today had it not been for your word war, so thank YOU for your kick-assedness as well. *bows*

It feels good knowing where I'm going and how I'm getting there, yes, definitely. Now I just need to crank out the scenes. I'm not getting as far along this weekend as I'd hoped, but it'll just take time.

I think I write so much at once because my life is so unpredictable. In a way, I live in constant fear that I'll lose this venue. There are real (but improbable) reasons for this. So when I write, I WRITE. I dive in.

Week long, huh? Yeah, I may have to really challenge myself with some atrocious number, LOL!

Yeah, I'm afraid of turning into a total hypocrite: 'Here, read my 17k story while I struggle to find time to read yours.' Of course, that's because 'yours' is, like, twenty people.

I tend to do a lot of peaks and valleys too when writing, but man, you blow me away! I hope we don't lose you writing here!

And you're welcome. I love encouraging folks to write. It's a brilliant, brilliant thing to do, and has kept me sane since I was small. I am always glad to see others writing, too.

YES EXACTLY THAT, though. It's like... I will be whimpering because folks don't have time to read mine, while I'm struggling to read everything else. I will have to make time. I'm already behind on dtops and never fully caught up on bottomdraco either.
