Slowly, not sure how far he could go, he moved his hand behind Pete. Trying not to lose his nerve, he breathed out just as he hooked his thumb in Pete’s back pocket. Just that small touch though, made him relax and he didn’t even blush when Pete looked at him surprised. He only shrugged and straightened up. Looking away from Pete and to the people in front of him, he couldn’t help the tingle in his stomach at Pete’s next words.
“Mom, Dad, this is my boyfriend Alex.”
Extending a hand to greet the two stunned adults in front of him was surprisingly easier with his hand in his boyfriends pocket. So much easier.
