“You hate cooking, Hermione. You’ve said this in an interview. You hate baking even more. You’ve also said that in an interview. Now you expect people to believe you made hundreds of cupcakes and decorated each one, just for the fun of it?” Ron asked his wife incredulously.
“It’s not like people pay attention to anything I say in an interview anyway,” Hermione said bitterly. “I’m not telling anyone how much money I spent on these. People will believe what they want, but this is my explanation for the cupcakes. I made them.”
Ron smiled, dragging his wife in a hug. “How about we say me and the kids made them? I think our friends will sooner believe that,” he said laughing.
With a small pout, Hermione nodded, sort of collapsing into Ron’s arms. “Why do I have to be horrible at this kind of thing?”
“Because you’re a strong independent woman and you wouldn’t survive living with a slob like me unless I had something to do. Which is cooking. Without it, you’d have kicked me out years ago.”

It was upsetting for Parvati to realise that no matter how many Galleons she had tried to save during the year, an endeavour that failed due to the fact that she kept spending whatever she saved almost as instantly as she kept the money safe. The Halloween Ball was going to be extravagant and she literally had nothing to wear.
But with a little help from her sister, she decided to sell cupcakes so that she could earn enough money to buy the perfect dress. Unfortunately, it didn’t work, because the boy she liked, liked someone else.
