1. Are you a writer, beta or cheerleader?
I'm a writer!

2. Will you be working on a single project or multiple projects?
Multiple projects, for sure.

3. Are you participating in any fests, exchanges or challenges?
I'm participating in [livejournal.com profile] hd_canon_fest and [livejournal.com profile] serpentinelion's Glompfest

4. What is your goal (wordcount) per month?
I always want to hit between 20,000 and 50,000 words per month, although 50,000 is pushing it. I'm hovering around 50,000 words for the month of April, though, which makes me feel accomplished!

5. What are your project(s) about? (If it's a secret, we understand)
Ooo, they is secret!

6. Is there anything else you want us to know about you?
I'm new to writing H/D in earnest. I wrote an H/D one-shot for [livejournal.com profile] merry_smutmas in 2006, which was the one and only slash fic I had ever written. I'm actually a het writer by default and I love reading and writing (what I hope is) good het fic. I've been in fandom since 2002, but am just starting to get into H/D. For the longest time I just could not get into the pairing because it felt, to me, so implausible in canon, but then I really just gave myself a good talking to and told myself to lighten up and just enjoy The Pretteh. I love well-written H/D. Some other slash ships I like are Snape/Draco, Ron/Draco, Harry/Snape, and Draco/Zacharias. My favorite het pairings are Draco/Pansy, Harry/Hermione, and Ron/Pansy, and I have a really huge Ron/Pansy WIP out there that I fully intend to finish. Let's see . . . random facts . . . I write all my fic on my couch on a Dell XPS 1530 laptop; I collect music (primarily goth, industrial, ebm, and ethereal); I watch a huge amount of television; when I write I often have the same song on repeat for hours, which b0rks my Last.fm; I'm addicted to Diet Mtn Dew and Taco-flavored Doritos; I love junky 7-11 candy; I live in Denver, CO; I also like to draw and I have a few pictures you can check out over at my journal if you're interested. I'm a HUGE Draco fangirl. :D Julie

I'm guilt of the song-on-repeat for hours. I own it. There's nothing wrong with setting a certain audio-ambiance. <3

When I was reading and trying to write some het Snape fic, I listened to a Dutch band called Within Temptation. Awesomeness!! Played it over and over and over. It turned into my theme music!

YES! Go for the 50k per month, that is awesome! Broken down, you only have to write 1600 a day, and that is completely doable!!

I love listening to a song or album on repeat! Especially if it's mood setting, or I'm really into the artist for that time, it gets me going. It used to drive my sisters insane that I'd listen to the same CD for a week. :P

Nice to know I'm not the only one who leaves a song on repeat...my former co-workers hated me!! Yay for the 50K word count, that is amazing!!
