assignment #24

and I also did a drabble for kitty (but I'm not sure If I was on time still...)

Kind of assignment #16?
I had to put it in a little story, hope it still counts?

Harry wore a sad smile. Professor McGonagall had not gotten rid of all the things Professor Dumbledore had accumulated in his years of being headmaster to Hogwarts School of Wizardry.
She had been headmistress for only three years.
But she'd been confident that Harry would make a good successor and what was he supposed to say? She had told him she wanted to live her last years as the teacher she'd always been.
Of course Harry had accepted the position.
Now he wasn't to sure he'd be a good successor. he had to plan his first welcoming feast. And he had not a single clue how one would do such a thing.
So he found himself rearranging the office to his liking.
In the first desk drawer he had found an old parchment.

Plan for the Welcoming Feast:

1) Sorting the first years: McGonagall
2) Introducing new teachers
3) Welcoming Speech:
Don't forget to mention Forbidden Forrest, No Weasley pranks,
keep the school clean, no magic except in classes,
Be nice to your schoolmates
4) Have a nice meal ~~(Have to ask Houseelves what students like most)~~
Pumpkin Soup
Potato Soup
Bangers n' Mash
Parsley Potatoes and Vegetables
Chicken Drumsticks
Pudding
Assortment of Cakes
(Ask teachers what they would add!)
5) Wish a nice evening
First dream in a new bed comes true

Decoration: As always but maybe a few more candles? Ask Hagrid to cut some branches for the table ends!
Don't forget to ask the portraits whether I've missed something!

Harry sighed. At least he knew were to start now.

100 word drabble using the prompt: first class

Severus Snape didn't remember his first class fondly.
He didn't like to admit it, but he had been nervous. Actually as nervous as he could barely remember ever being in his life.
Of course the potion he would be teaching had to be a hard one. He was sure the students would be well-behaved then.
Well, that had been one of his first misconceptions.
The students had just begun brewing as one of them (quite similar to Longbottom) botched up his potion.
He had held the rest of the lesson as 15-year old in front of his 21-year old students.

a little over 100 words drabble using the prompt: New Surprise

Neville shook his head. 'Socks, some tissues, a tweezer..?' Harry had been off lately.
But Neville was sure he still wouldn't mind him borrowing his Charms book.
He had no idea where he had left his.
'Harry always keeps it in his bedside cabinet, but wait, what's that?'
Nevilles hands skimmed over fabric. It was ruby red and very soft to the touch. And there! Underneath was the charms book!
Neville lifted the red piece of fabric...and promptly got red-faced.
It was a pair of panties, lacy in the back and very, very skimpy in the front.
Well, a new surprise every now and then...

100 word drabble using the prompt: new DADA teacher

'So, how do you think our new Defence against the Dark Arts teacher will be?'
'I've no idea. Harry what do you think.'
I'd better not think anything at all, Harry thought.
The last few ones had been one catastrophe after the other disaster.
Except Professor Lupin. But he did not want to think about Remus.
Other than that they'd, or better he'd, had no luck with their DADA professors.
In all honestly Harry did not know, whether he wanted to meet the new teacher. Or go to class at all. But Draco seemed confident he'd like the new teacher.

Draco smiled. They'd both been absolutly bonkers to take part in such a obvious rip-off. But they'd been undeniably desperate.
With a lot of luck they'd met in a bar, both jilted by their lovers.
Today he was happy to have Harry in his home.

'Hey, did you hear the newest story of the Bloody Baron...?' The Fat Friar and Near Headless Nick, house ghosts of Hogwarts, often met in secluded corners to pass time together.
"You mean... do you think it's true?"
'Of course! Everyone knows he's the worst Peeping Tom! I'm sure he watched all night long. And now he doesn't want to share any details!'
"That's just so not cool. I mean you can't simply watch the most scandalous pair of this school having.. you know! You sure he didn't tell anybody?"
'No, and it would be so interesting. Uhm, I'm purely curious, you know, right?'

100 word drabble using the promt homework

"Isn't she hot mate?"
"Sure, what ever gets you to -not- sleep at night."
Harry and Ron where sitting in the library, pretending to do homework.
Hermione had been fed up with them and continued actually doing hers at another table. Closely watched by Ron of course.
Harry didn't have a single objection since he could watch Draco doing his homework unashamedly. Hermione wouldn't notice a thing and Ron was way to preoccupied.
Only Draco sent an exasperated glance his way. Every few seconds at least. Harry had begun answering those with biting his lips.
Draco had a problem now.
