I am in the process of writing a story called Epitaphs, which is the sequel to Under the Cold, Wan Moon. Here is the working summary:

The end is already written. Twenty-four years following the Battle of Hogwarts finds Harry Potter a widower of the worst variety, a complete and utter slob, and a benignly neglectful father. Draco Malfoy unexpectedly reappears in Harry Potter's life and asks Harry to help him make a Horcrux. Draco and Harry are in tremendous danger, and Draco wants the Horcrux's assurance against his own death. Behind Malfoy Manor, Draco has discovered two freshly dug graves complete with tombstones - one with his name on it, the other with Harry's - both with only a partial epitaph. When Draco begins receiving written warnings in the form of cryptic epitaphs, he contacts Harry in an attempt to decipher a brutal killer's identity and need for vengeance. Draco and Harry must work together to stop a psychopathic serial killer and to solve a rash of gruesome homicides.

H/D cliches that I love are:

- Working together to solve a mystery
- Working together to try and thwart the untimely death of one or the other, or both
- Auror!Harry
- Auror!Ron (although that's beside the point :> )
- Murder mysteries
- Harry and Draco as fathers with young children
- Reluctant!Harry
- Irrestible!Draco
- Draco with a profession
- Cannot-control-himself-with-Draco!Harry
- Widowed!H/D (not that I wish ill on Ginny or Astoria; I just generally like the angst and emotions a character has after a great loss)

Wick is the prequel to Blankets of Pansies. I suppose I could say that Blankets of Pansies is the sequel to Wick, but I wrote Blankets of Pansies before I wrote Wick.

I have positive feelings about sequels. If it's a universe that I particularly appreciated then, yeah, I want to read more! I also like series of one-shots that are somehow related, if not prequels and sequels to one another.
