I am a weird person in that once upon a time, smut was really easy to write. Like... I started writing smut when I was 18 and when I was around 45 or so... like a year ago... smut suddenly became hard to write. I think I've just written too much of it.

On the other hand, I spent those 27 years struggling to learn to write descriptions, plots, and fights... I still can't write a physical fight at all well.

Advice from a professional author friend: write sex scenes like they are battles. Me, I try to write battles as if they are sex scenes.

And having the paintbrushes was a very good thing this (Saturday) morning.
