Finding time is like... the hardest thing. I used to make it so I would lock myself in a room the first hour I got home from work (the kids weren't home at that point then) and write, no matter what. If it meant I couldn't start dinner right away, I dealt with it (or planned dinners that could work around it). I also carried a notebook with me and wrote longhand EVERYWHERE. It sort of helped. It has at least gotten me used to the idea that if I have twenty minutes, I should just drop everything and write... it's taken me a LONG time to get into this schedule though, and what works for one doesn't work for everyone. You'll find a way!!

When I sit at work I think about it, but I don't want people questioning what I am doing - specially if I'm writing smut at that moment.

This weekend just seemed totally off. RL kept kicking my butt. BUT yesterdy I was able to get some work done. Made me happy.

Yeah sometimes it happens that way... RL is rough and the headspace is just gone (along with the time).

I have an office at work so I can close the door if I want to actually take a lunch break. Sometimes, though, I'll go off and find a picnic table on campus. Getting away and outside helps me (and makes me feel less weird, and more like it's a coffee shop or something).

I used to. I work at Sam's Club now - gotta love retail. So, unless I go outside to sit in my car, I'm around others. sometimes I can focus, but I typically just spend that time browsing LJ on my phone.

I have a teen and a twelve year old... it seems like it would get better, but they just have more to interrupt me with. *wry smile*
