Projects Worked On: my new big bang, and three assignments for WBTH Challenge
If You Set Other Goals (get characters to hook up, find a way to work in some smut/angst/fluff, reach a certain plot point, whatever), Are You Progressing? yeah lol I wasn't supposed to work on my new big bang till all my assignments were done but I couldn't resist... My whole outline is done, and I've already started writing it.
Anything To Share (flailing, requests for butt-kicking, pep-talks, snippets, etc.)? Sure, here's one of the assignments...just posting it all instead of a snippet because it's only 304 words.

"Potter, why are we going into the forbidden forest?" Draco sounded slightly hysterical and Harry fought the desire to laugh as he remembered back to their first year.

"I have a surprise for you. And we're not going far, I promise."

Harry was shocked when he felt something brush his hand. He looked down to see Draco's fingers entwining with his as they continued deeper into the forest. He smiled and brought their joined hands to his lips, kissing Draco's knuckles.

"I'll trust you for now, but if we aren't heading back soon I'll hex your arse into next week." Draco paused and glared up at Harry. "No matter what cute gesture you do next."

Harry just chuckled, and looked around for a moment before leading Draco between a set of trees, into a clearing. He stopped and pulled Draco to face him.

"Ever since we started dating after the war I've wanted to bring you to this spot to do this." Harry reached up and pulled Draco's head down a bit before leaning forward and kissing him slowly. He trailed his tongue across Draco's lips, seeking entrance, before deepening the kiss. He tangled his hand in Draco's soft blond locks and moved closer to him as the kiss progressed. Finally Harry pulled away a bit and leaned his head against Draco's. "Now we can go," he whispered.

Draco grabbed Harry's hand again and turned back the way they had come, toward Hogwarts. "Why here though?"

Harry laughed. "You don't recognize it?" When Draco just shook his head Harry continued, "It's where we came on our detention in first year. Where the poor unicorn died, and Voldemort almost killed me again."

Draco looked at him for a moment before asking again. "Why here?"

Harry shrugged. "I like this happy memory better."

Draco just nodded.

Nice ficlet! And congrats on getting your big bang started! I always love that moment when I suddenly know what I'm writing... makes it all seem so much easier to get it done.
