NaNo Inspiration, Day 7

We're rounding out the first week. Do you feel lost? I hope not! But just remember, every word you write is a step on the journey to the end of your story. If you're feeling a little stuck, just imagine what's coming around the next curve or over the hill and dive into the next bit. You can always come back and figure out how to move properly from point A to point B later (that's what editing's for!).

I wrote nothing yesterday, which means today I have to write everything to make up for it. But election day (which I keep trying to typo as electron day) wore me down too much to find words.

Yesterday was pretty slow, and I've reached a section of my NaNo that I'm not feeling too enthusiastic about, despite my friend cheerleading it to something kind of intriguing. Still reached the minimum I'd set for myself though, so yay. :P I'm pretty happy with where I am not only word count-wise (because four days into NaNo it became clear that 50k was an underestimation) but also where I wanted to be in the project. I'm also having the most fun writing because I'm not thinking about whether or not things in it are silly or not so it's been a great experience so far. :)

There's always that point in the story where the only thing to do is keep on slogging forwards. Sometimes you can get past it by skipping ahead a little and then coming back to knit part a and part b together, but the best way is just forge through it. It sounds like you're doing really well with it. Keep up the good work!!
