It’s blood on his shirt. Blood. He’s not sure if he’s going to throw-up or pass out.
“What happened?” he asks, afraid of the answer.
Blaine just looks up, having no energy to calm Kurt down. He’s so tired he just wants to lie down on the floor, right here and sleep until next year. He knows Kurt needs answers though.
“There was a very stupid man and he and my fists got acquainted. I’m okay, I’ll explain tomorrow, but right now, I just want to go to sleep love,” he says, already moving down the hallway, past Kurt and to the room. He’s stopped though, by Kurt’s hand reaching out to grab him.
“You’re going to tell me now, Blaine Anderson. What happened?” Kurt said, his voice shaking.
“I’ve told you about that guy that frequents the bar, right?” Blaine asks, pulling Kurt along with him to the next chair so he can sit down. When Kurt nods, he continues. “Well, he saw you today, when you came in to talk to me. I’ve put up with his flirting with politie reclines, but tonight, he came up to the bar and started talking about you. How he didn’t understand how I could deny him, if that’s all I had. I told him he should stop, before he said anything stupid, but you know stupid guys, they just keep on talking. So when he kept on insulting you, I punched him. It’s seems I’m not as skilled I was in highschool, so I ended up punching his nose more than anything, which is where the blood comes from. He took it pretty well, I think.”
“Well? Blaine, you punched a guy, a customer while at work? What were you thinking?” Kurt asks, his tone worried.
“First of all, I wasn’t thinking at all. He’s been getting on my nerves for almost a month now, thinking he has a shot with me and then he goes and fills the meter by insulting you. Second of all, my boss thought it was funny and threw the guy out. He’s been trying to find a way to make the guy stop for ages now, but hasn’t found a good way. I did,” Blaine says, hoping Kurt will be happy now and they can get into bed, curl up and sleep. That’s what he needs right now. Kurt’s arms, a warm bed and obliviousness. That’s all he needs.
