OMG! That first example sounds like a new beta or one who is not familiar with Brit spelling differences. I would never change my American/English to reflect strict Brit spelling, but I never ask a Brit to change it to Am spelling. I actually did a couple of times when I first beta'd. I hadn't been in a Brit fandom and it was all new to me and the spellings were new to me. I did a bit of research and that solved that.

Calenthe's articles are great! She uses some awesome humor to liven up what might otherwise be dry reading. Love her.

I use Adobe Acrobat (used to be Buzzword) and GoogleDocs. I love the interactive format and I've found that Gdocs works pretty much the same as Adobe. You just have to click on the 'tools' and other things at the top. The other thing I like that Adobe doesn't have is a live chat box. That makes working together great when you are both on at the same time.
