Harry ducked in the Gryffindor Common room, hoping everyone would be too distracted to notice him. The Gryffindors had just won the first Quidditch match of the year, and Harry was looking to celebrate with Draco, and in a much quieter setting. He had snuck out of the mass of excited, party-goers earlier to let Draco in and was hoping he would be able to slip back in and upstairs just as unnoticed. Luck wasn't on his side though. No sooner as he had reached the bottom of the staircase leading to the dormitories did someone shout, "Malfoy!"
Harry cringed. He had been shielding Draco from most of the Gryffindors, but of course he had been spotted. The pale blond hair was a dead giveaway. He turned around slowly to see Ron standing on a chair with a bottle of butterbeer raised in his arm staring in shock at him.
"What are you doing, Harry? Why is Malfoy here?"
Harry tried to smile, but he was sure it came off as more of a grimace. "Just going to have my own fun, with Malfoy." Harry turned, dragging Draco with him, and proceeded up the stairs before the other students could process this and stop him. When they reached the door to his dormitory Draco turned to him.
"Way to go Potter, you know they're going to be standing outside your door all night waiting to see what happens."
Suddenly, there was another yell from downstairs, "Hey, there's still some firewhiskey and butterbeer left!"
Harry grinned as after a moment more of silence everyone started partying again. "We both owe Hermione big time."
Draco snorted and smirked at him. "Yeah, right, Potter."
