Here’s your official team post. Make of it what you will. This is your team’s Common Room for the month; the only thing we’ll be looking at is the check-in comments, so make sure you’re posting yours as a reply to this.

The only real team assignment you'll be getting is to pick a team name and/or mascot. Like the one you have? Awesome. Want something else? Also awesome. Just let us know what you've all come up with by April 1 so we can get it right on the kick-off post.

There’s been a slight revision on the points for revising, go figure, so please claim them as per the crib sheet below.

Checking in for Week 2

plot/brainstorm/research for an hour: I want to say many, what with all the shit I went through for this fic, but I'm claiming at least 8 = 16 Points
revise your own words for half an hour: Another 8 hours = 16 points
write 250 new words: 4500 = 36 points
angsting over fic: The entire fucking week, but I'm too embarassed to claim any points for that
Last but not least I finished my fic at 16.900 words
no idea how many points that gets me.

Uh yeah, I've reached my personal level of confusion, I have no idea what to do with this and what my total is. I apologise for causing extra work. Also, this doesn't include bonus points.

The good new is, there is a spreadsheet. The mods just have to plug in th numbers, and magic happens. I have no idea how many points I am earning either, really. I think I keep miscalculating things!

Okay, I say this both as someone who knows exactly what you went through with this fic this week and as someone who knows how the points are being allocated: if the standard points scheme isn't representative of the time, effort, and fucking blood you've put in, use the Other points to adjust it. No pressure, obviously, but let me know.

If it helps: you're at 133 points for the week, including finishing/bonuses. Brainstorming/plotting/research is worth 1 point per hour; revisions are worth 2.

I don't know how to do it, I mean, basically I don't know how much to claim, how much is too much, how much is too little? That's why I'm all "dunno" about what's going on. I don't even know what happened last week, because I was mostly sleepwalking due to my fucked up everything.
